Problem

The customer is a Tier 1 Iron Ore mine operator in the Pilbara Western Australia. ITW Polymers and Fluids worked with the operator to address concerns they were having with the use of a competitive product being used in their wash bay operations. Safety concerns stemmed from the requirement for respirators needing to be used to protect operators while using the competitor product. Additionally, a potential discharge risk was highlighted as a concern due to the mine location in relation to the Weeli Wolli Spring, a protected unique ecosystem with an elevated level of biodiversity and threatened or endangered species.
